These thermostat thermal fuse cut-off kit are product and spare part used in Maytag MEDX700XLO Dryer machine model; will assist you in repair, replacement and maintenance. Package standart part number: 279816, PS334299. The thermal cut-off prevents the dryer from overheating when the dryer high limit thermostat fails in a closed circuit condition. This part fails when the heater housing does not have adequate airflow through it; this is normally caused by restriction in the exhaust vent, plugged lint screen, or broken blower wheel.
